Emily Unwin

Emily Unwin, Granta Writers' Workshops

Emily Unwin (she/her) is a queer writer from the Deep South. She was endorsed by Arts Council England to live and work in the UK under the Global Talent Visa, with Exceptional Promise in Literature.

Emily currently works as the programme manager for Granta Writers’ Workshop. Her writing has been supported by Creative Scotland and The White Pube’s Creative Grant, and she’s studied with the Stinging Fly and Yan Ge’s Parallel Words programme.

Emily has published in The London Magazine, Litro, Heavy Feather Review, Polyester Zine, and Gigantic Sequins, among others. She’s been a finalist for the Gigantic Sequins flash fiction prize, the Get Artistic grant, and the Perennial Press Chapbook Award.

Emily splits her time between the American Southeast and the United Kingdom. She is represented by Cal Morgan at Enliven Endeavors.
