Danny Singer is a writer of fiction who uses the medium of gripping page-turning thrillers to address literary, psychological and often philosophical themes. A mathematics graduate and ex-military intelligence officer, he is currently running a small hi-tech company in the UK. His lifelong interest in the boundaries of personal freedom and the spiritual journey towards the very edges of self determination lay behind his debut novel, Nothing Left To Lose, which won the prestigious Wilbur Smith 2023 New Voices Award for Adventure Writing. Presented as a fast-paced thriller, the novel draws from real life events and explores the possibilities of genuine personal autonomy inspired by philosophies as diverse as Ismaili Islam, Neoplatonism and modern existentialism. Currently working on his second novel, provisionally titled By The Skin of His Soul, Danny lives in Sussex with his family and a small menagerie of (mostly) domestic animals.
