We’ve revamped and refreshed our alumni community area! We’re delighted to launch our first exciting events, competitions and writing sessions in the new and improved online campus.

      • Flash fiction challenge! Capture the judges’ imagination with a 500-word story on the theme ‘spark’ to win a FREE place on our Creativity for Writers course. Deadline: 31st January 2024.

Explore our regular sessions to connect with other writers or dedicate time to write.

  • Sit & Write
    Set aside regular time and headspace each week to get stuff written. Our
     Sit & Write sessions set you up with a deadline to get that writing done. We meet weekly on Zoom on Mondays, 7:00 – 8:30pm GMT. No need to book – just turn up in our online space on Zoom and write for an hour!

  • Writers’ Hive
    We meet in our Writers’ Hive every other week, to share a coffee (or beverage of your choice) and just chat. The sessions are hosted by writer and moderator Emily Unwin. W
    e meet fortnightly on Zoom on Tuesdays, 7:00 – 8:30pm GMT. No need to book – just drop in when you can make it.

Monthly live events to kickstart your writing, with space to chat with industry professionals.

  • Q&A with Caroline England – Wednesday 24 January, 7-8pm UK time.
    Writing a thriller? Join us for a chat with Caroline England, a former lawyer who now writes domestic psychological thrillers. Find out all about her journey to publication, her debut novel, Kindle best-seller success and her double-life writing gothic-tinged psychological thrillers (which are published under the name CE Rose).

  • (Re)igniting Your Spark with Kylie Fitzpatrick – Monday 5 February, 7-9pm UK time.
    Feeling stuck with your novel? Tap into your inner writer to deliver up the ideas, inspiration and focus that will keep you feeling motivated and productive all year.   • Q&A with Oli Munson – Wednesday 21 February, 7-8 pm UK time.
    This is the perfect opportunity to ask your burning questions and find out more about what a literary agent does, what agents are looking for, and how to make your submission stand out. He’s on the hunt for commercial fiction with an emotional heart, compelling underdog stories with unlikely heroes and heroines. Something uplifting to balance out the murder and mayhem in the rest of his fiction list. A significant part of his list is comprised of award-winning, bestselling authors of crime, suspense, and thrillers, including Mari Hannah, Trevor Wood, Julia Chapman and David Jackson.

Meet your Core team

Georgia Northall

Georgia Northall is our marketing lead.

She holds a BA (Hons) in Creative Writing from Bath Spa University and has since achieved certification in Digital Marketing.

She runs our social media and produces much of our marketing materials, from newsletters and tweets to blogs and live events.

You can also find her behind the scenes at WriteWell.

She’s an avid reader of fantasy and sci-fi, scouring the internet for recommendations at every opportunity. With several years of experience as an online book reviewer up her sleeve, there’s nothing she loves more than chatting about the latest publishing news.
