Develop an industry-standard treatment for your TV pilot, feature or short film.
Benefit from:
- BAFTA-winning story techniques developed at the BBC
- Four months of 1-1 expert feedback on your work
- Industry-standard treatment for your film or TV idea
- Training that’s taken alumni onto award-winning productions
Our professional development course is based on the techniques BAFTA-winning storyteller John Yorke developed to train new writing talent on the BBC Writers’ Academy scheme. Our alumni work on award-winning shows, including Emmys, Oscars and BAFTAs.
Week by week on this four month online training, you’ll do practical assignments that help you master the building blocks of successful storytelling and learn to apply the blueprint underlying all archetypal stories. By the end of the course you’ll be able to look at any story, pinpoint why it’s not working, and know how to fix it.
By joining this small group of dedicated screenwriters, guided by a moderator and expert tutor, you’ll get constant peer feedback and tutor notes on your work, as you explore, discuss and write. You will emerge with an industry-standard treatment for a TV pilot, feature or short film.
